SPED 669 - Research Design and Program Evaluation in Special Education 3 Credit(s) This CAPSTONE course examines the field of special education and special education issues within the context of recent educational, political and economic changes. This course presents current issues from a unique perspective, looking back through history and comparing historical trends to today’s social climate to show the impact on key issues in special education. Additionally, this course lays the groundwork for developing and initiating action research in the classroom and/or program evaluation. Finally, students will prepare a master’s level action research proposal.
Prerequisite(s): forty-two to forty-five (42-45) credit hours in the Special Education degree program of which three (3) credit hours must be in Research Methods and three (3) credit hours in Statistical Analysis (i.e., EDUC 581 and EDUC 582 , respectively).
