BIOL 502 - Advanced Molecular Biology 4 Credit(s) This course is designed to provide an advanced level of understanding on the structure of DNA, RNA and protein macromolecules including their physical and chemical properties coupled with their roles in cellular metabolism. The synthesis of these molecules (DNA, replication, transcription and translation) along with their application in genetic engineering and regulation of gene expression would be covered in detail. Emphasis will be placed on relevant research and contemporary scientific findings in developing an understanding of the fundamental principles, processes, and methodology of molecular biology.
