ELED 303 - Methods of Teaching Reading in the Elementary School 3 Credit(s) This course is designed to enable the elementary school teacher candidate to acquire knowledge and skills in the selection and use of reading texts. With emphasis on developmental appropriateness, students will explore the characteristics of a balanced, student-centered program that emphasizes the Maryland Reading Stances: reading for Literacy, reading to be informed, and reading to perform a task. At least 30 clock hours of observation and participation is required.
Prerequisite(s): PRAXIS CORE and ELED 301
