PSYC 411 - Abnormal Psychology 3 Credit(s) An examination of the etiology, symptoms, and treatments of mental health disorders with emphasis on differentiating maladaptive from deviant behavior. Included are various medical and psychological models and various perspectives including psychodynamic, behaviorist, humanistic, existentialist, Adlerian, Jungian, Reality and Rational Emotive therapies. Emphasis is placed on diagnosing and treating a range of mental health disorders.
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 201 and PSYC 306
