SPED 301 - Classroom Organization and Management in the Education of Learners with Mild and Moderate Disabilities in the Elementary/Middle Grades

Classroom Organization and Management in the Education of Learners with Mild and Moderate Disabilities in the Elementary/Middle Grades.  Extensive discussion and Field Experiences in classroom organization and behavior management of students with mild and moderate disabilities in the elementary/middle grades. Also studied are methods and techniques for arranging, scheduling, and adapting equipment and materials. Behavior management techniques and technology for learners with mild and moderate challenges are emphasized. A Field Experience of 24 hours is required. This course is offered once a year during the Fall Semester.

Prerequisite(s): PRAXIS CORE and SPED 303  and SPED 402
