This course provides an orientation to the nonprofit sector which includes but not limited to various theoretical foundations, values, characteristics, and circumstances of nonprofit sector. This course also provides an overview of the nonprofit sector by addressing theoretical and practical applications and deal with topics like: Nonprofit governing boards, ensuring accountability and measuring performance, strategic planning and management, capacity and collaboration, marketing and communications, philanthropic fund-raising, advocacy and lobbying, and social entrepreneurship.
