ACCT 485 - Internship in Accounting 3 Credit(s) Prerequisite(s): This course is structured to assist students in gaining insights as to how to apply the accounting (ACCT) concepts and tools learned in class to solve business problems in an actual working situation. Internship serves as a vital link between “book learning” and practical experiences. The internship will provide students with a practical working environment which is essential for a complete comprehension of the theories and procedures studies in class. Typical positions will relate to some aspects of the Accounting field or industry. A student must choose an internship that complies with their major of study. To ensure the appropriateness of an internship that is under construction, contact the instructor for approval before starting the internship work. Students must complete a minimum of 150 hours of internship work for this 3 credit course over the course of a semester.
