ECED 422 - Internship in Leadership and Quality Improvement for Early Childhood Birth through Age 8 6 Credit(s) This internship will encourage candidates to connect theory and practice in the early learning environment that services infants, toddlers, or young children up to age 8. The intern (early learning professional) will engage in professional tasks that involve managing staff to children ratio count for classrooms, food services and materials, budget and bookkeeping, and organizing a culturally responsive/relevant parent or family-oriented event. The intern will be paired and guided directly by an experienced childcare director who is certified in Maryland. This course requires a grade of “B” or better and at least 320 clock hours of supervised internship experience. Corequisite - ECED 420
