IDST 407 - WORKPLACE METHODS AND PRACTICE 3 Credit(s) The course will provide a wide-range examination of Interdisciplinary Studies methods and practices. Students apply interdisciplinary concepts and methods in active practice and in various settings. Students will develop their professional skills in public speaking, reading, critical thinking, and critical listening in ways that contribute to workplace readiness. The overall goal of the course is to equip students with usable, interdisciplinary skills to apply in any given professional environment. The curriculum bridges academic theory with workplace /real world practice order to prepare students to be ethical, intellectual, and effective professionals that positively contribute to the workforce. This course emphasizes, reinforces, and applies the basic IDST core principles of intellectualism, intercultural competency, social justice, language, research, knowledge application, and workplace preparedness.
