African-American Studies Minor

African American History minor is a study of different apects history education which include African American History, World History, United Stated States History and the History of other countries. It also includes the History of the United Stated states Constitution, Methods of historical research, Urban American History since 1870, History of Blacks in Radio and Televistion, History of Hip Hop culture and Fashion, Slavery and Law, Women in America and a lot more.

African-American Studies Minor Requirements


The African-American Studies minor is interdisciplinary and requires the completion of a minimum of 21 credits from the following list. At least 12 of the 21 credits must be completed in history courses (HIST). Courses in addition to those listed below, with the prior approval of the History Department, may also meet the minor requirements. A student must earn a grade of “C” or higher in each of the courses selected for the minor.
